Fit Finlay Agent For WWE Divas

Finlay Fit Finlay Agent For WWE Divas

Former WWE star Fit Finlay who served as road agent for the Divas helping them put their matches together. Finley Speaking on being put in charge of the Divas “I think it was a bit of a joke (being the trainer of the Divas). I have a reputation of being very tough and working with the girls is like dealing with a bunch of personalities. And working with these girls to work in ‘lingerie matches’ or ‘Thanksgiving gravy matches’ was a little embarrassing for both me and those girls sometimes. But you make the best of it and it really worked and later took off.”

I watched and read interviews where divas past and present praised Finlay for his work  training them and putting on great matches. I think finlay has great respect not only for the divas but for perhaps Womens Wrestling all around. He probably felt as though the divas should be treated as equals just as the guys.

Fit Finlay Talked About WWE Firing

Fit Finlay had a interview with Fighting Spirit Magazine about his release in March following an incident where he had Miz interrupt the playing of the National Anthem at a house show He said that he was given a lot of leeway and a lot of power in WWE and that comes with a lot of responsibility. He made a call that caused a storm and he paid for it. They play the American national anthem over here before every event. We had Miz going out first and because it was just before WrestleMania we were trying to get as much heat on him as possible. So my spur-of-the-moment call as I sat right by the technician was to tell him to hit Miz’s music while they were half-way through the national anthem. Of course people were up in arms about it but it was a good reaction as a heel. But there were National Guard people in the building that took exception to it and he understand that fully. It wasn’t intended to insult anybody in that way it was just part of an entertaining show. That’s what we do, we entertain it’s about cheers and boos.”

World Wrestling Entertainment released Dave Finlay yesterday. He had been solely working as a producer since retiring from in-ring competition last year.

WWE Champion The Miz was booked to interrupt the national anthem during a house show in Champaign, Illinois on Friday. A number of representatives for the National Guard were in attendance (a major partner and sponsor for WWE) and they were not pleased with the anthem being used to garner heel heat.

Once key WWE officials were informed of the ordeal, a decision was made to terminate Finlay’s contract, since he was the event’s top producer.

His release from the organization comes as a shock to numerous employees. Finlay is well liked and many people are hoping that it is a situation where he could be brought back in the future. Finlay had been with the company since 2001 and was considered the top producer in the organization. Many credit him with orchestrating the women’s division over the past decade and spending a lot of time training with the Divas.
